From studying Kung Fu at a Shaolin monastery to teaching acrobatics in the Swiss Alps, David’s career has led him to coach and perform in more than 20 countries around the world.
David has worked with countless international movement experts in the fields of acrobatics, weight lifting, contemporary dance, Alexander Technique, Feldenkrais Method, martial arts, physical theatre, handstands, and Wutao.
David received his BA in Music and Theatre from UC Santa Cruz and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts from Goddard College. He spent a year studying physical theatre at École Lassaad in Belgium, completed the three-year professional training program at the Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance in Austria, and completed a one-year intensive at HELIKOS: Scuola Internazionale Di Creazione Teatrale in Italy. David obtained his Personal Trainer certification through the National Academy of Sports Science in 2010, and is a certified Instructor of the French movement art, Wutao.
In 2011, David moved to India to train Bollywood actor Aamir Khan for his roles in the blockbuster films “Dhoom 3” and “PK.” David also worked as Director of Havik Circus in the Dominican Republic, performed in an 80-city North American tour with Cirque Dreams, and toured internationally with his mask / circus / live music show, “BOOM!”
